Chickasaw State Rustic Park

This 11,215 acre Chickasaw State Park has two lakes which are used for swimming, fishing, and boating. You can go horseback riding, picnicking, relax at the recreation lodge or let the kids stretch their legs on the playground. If you are staying in the Henderson-Jackson area for several days, be sure to check out the availability of the tent and trailer sites or reserve a rental cabin.

Other area attractions are the Pinson Mounds State Archeological Area and the Casey Jones Village. The Village contains the Brooks Show and Son Old Country Store which had over 15,000 antiques, a restaurant, an ice cream parlor and a confectionery shop. Also at the Village is the Casey Jones Home and Railroad Museum where personal effects, railroad memorabilia and a steam locomotive like Casey Jones drove are on display.
