Tipton-Haynes Historic Site
At the south edge of Johnson City is Tipton-Haynes Historic Site and the location of the 1778 “Battle of the state of Franklin”. Here you will find the original and reconstructed buildings from as early as pre-colonial America through the Civil War. There is a museum, a gift shop, special programs and events.
